In front of a keen crowd of Club Members and Community supporters, the ‘Spirit of Papamoa’ surfboat was launched.
With over 40 Papamoa families and businesses contributing, the project has been a real community success.
A big thank you from Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club to all the supporters.
The cornerstone sponsor, the Rotary Club of Papamoa provided $10,000.
Speaking at the event, Jim Carroll, President of Papamoa Rotary, recognised the value that the surfboat, and the development programmes around it, will provide towards developing the youth of Papamoa.
