Papamoa Junior Surf Club Championship competition and End of Season Prize-giving:
Junior Surf Club Champs will take place on Sunday 21st March from 09:30am - 12:00pm approximately. Immediately following completion of this event, the Junior Surf Prizegiving will take place from 12:30pm - 2:00pm.
Parents, please be aware that this will be a longer day than usual as Club Trophies etc ... will be presented. Please ensure your children are prepared accordingly.

NZCT Surf Life Saving Championships:
When: Thursday 11th - Sunday 14th March 2010 Where: Ohope Beach
The New Zealand Community Trust Surf Life Saving Championships are the pinnacle of the New Zealand surf sports calendar.
There are approximately 1400 competitors expected to turn out and our Senior and Masters athletes will be there at the forefront of the competition.
Our best wishes go to you all.
Packing of the equipment trailers will occur this Wednesday evening from 7:00pm at the completion of Ironman training.

Papamoa Junior Surf update:
Our Junior Surf quick fire raffle was drawn Sunday 7th March after the Junior Surf session. Congratulations to Louise Coburn and Jan and Collin Olsen.
Louise won the $100 Meal Voucher compliments of Blue Biyou while Jan and Collin won the Block of 5 Swimming Lesson courtesy of Jane Ford at Swimtech, Papamoa.
Sessions continue to focus on Club Champs and Learn to Swim. Jane Ford will be available to speak to interested parents about Swimming through the Winter at our Junior Surf session this coming Sunday 14th March from 10:00am.

PSLSC wishes to congratulate all the Lyall Bay competitors, Coaches, Parents and Supporters who were part of their sterling success in becoming Ocean Athlete Club Champions for 2010.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year where we intend to slightly modify the end result!!!
Congratulations also to all the Surf Club competitors who travelled from near and far across the length and breadth of NZ to compete over the three days. Well done.
To our own Club, the amount of training you have put in over this season as individuals and as members of "The Power" is acknowledged and congratulated.
Your second placing overall was a marvelous result and you all represented your Club with professionalism and distinction.
PSLSC are all very proud of your efforts.
Anyone who had left gear in the Club Tent on Saturday can contact Nikki at the Clubrooms to determine a convenient time to uplift.
Finally, a huge thank you goes to Ross Edwards and his Management Team of Parents and Supporters who all did their bit to ensure our kids were well looked after, watered, fed and, as the circumstances dictated, marshalled like the lost sheep they could from time to time be.

SLSBOP Senior Championship 2010:
Congratulations to our Under 16, Under 19, Open and Masters compeititors who were involved in the 2 days of recent compeition.
Displaying consistency all round, Papamoa were second overall to the Mount in the Seniors and Omanu in the Masters.

Papamoa Surf Club dominate both Senior & Junior NRC's.
Papamoa Surf Club is thrilled to announce they are the proud winners of the 2010 NRC's and the 2010 Junior NRC's held at Mt Maunganui and Papamoa Beach over the weekend.
What an amazing weekend for our club, one that will go down in history! Our athletes have done the club proud. Congratulations to all of you, a big thank you to our supporters, parents, and helpers and a special well done to our amazing coaching team!

SLSBOP Boat/Canoe/IRB Results 2010
Well done to all the crews who competed at the BOP IRB, Surf Boat and Canoe Championships held at Waihi on the 23rd of January. All facets did a fantastic job.

SLSBOP Rookie Team of the Year Competition 2010
A huge congratulations to our Rookie Lifeguards who once again took out the title at the recent Rookie Team of the Year Competition. These kids showed great surf skills in up to 2m swells! They also scored top marks in Patrol set up and the scenario section of the competition. Thanks to Ailsa Cowdrey who does an amazing job with these future lifeguards.

Congratulations to our Papamoa Team for coming 2nd in this event. Some of the teams younger lifeguards showed great skills and leadership at this event which impressed the rest of their team and supporters. Well done to all involved.
